I think they top out around 2.8-2.9GHz or so. I could be wrong on that though. And you know you can pick up a used Opty here for not too much $$ and be rollin in the 3.0GHz range, lol...and dual core!

I had a 3800 venice that would do 3ghz with a fair amount of tweaking on an abit kn8 ultra. My daughter now has the same mobo with a 4000 venice that will do 3ghz on stock volts! I'd say between 2.6 and 3ghz with a decent mobo should be easily achieved.

The Abit Kn8 Ultra was the Abit I was thinking of BTW.

Those are the only good boards that I'm aware of. One of my buddies is trying out an eVGA 939 board with an nf4 chipset....seems promising as well.

Try to stick with nforce 4 chipset. Proven stable OCers.

Those couple of boards you guys mentioned are still a fortune, they are selling for the price I paid for my evga in the sig.

How much are they still selling for? I tried getting a new Abit Kn8-Ultra, from ABIT when I RMA'd my AN8-SLI Fatality board but they did not have any.

They are sending me a new AT8-32X I believe...

I was hoping to drop like $35-$55 on a used decent board or maybe $15-$20 more if I can get a new one.
