Default $2500 build for a friend

Hey all, im building a rig for a friend of mine, but before i do it, im just curious are these parts ok for the price im giving him?

Wow dude...$2500 could get SLI 8800GTX's or Crossfire 3870 x2's with a quad intel...seriously.

*Edit* Maybe not in Australia, however.

um no just no with 2500 i could probably get even tri sli and a quad with 8GB of RAM if you can order from newegg i can post a build

Yeah but these are australian prices, 3870 x2's are expensive for example Asus 3870x2 is $809 and just for XFX 8800 GT's is $369.

Prices arnt cheap here. Im getting my stuff off mwave.com.au ive found them to be the cheapest.

WOW thats really overpriced though but im still sure you could get better for 2500 give me a site that you are going to buy stuff off and i can make a better build

See what i mean. He doesnt want to overclock but he wants it to at least play crysis at medium settings and he wants it to last him for a few years.
