Since my old computer was getting pretty outdated I decided that this was a good time to get a whole new setup:
__________________AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ ASUS M2N-E 2GB Crucial Ballistix 8800GTS 512 Alpha Dog Edition Corsair 650W PSU I was on a budget and decided that I would put most of the money into the video card. I would have liked to get a better processor, but I have OC'd it to 2.9Ghz and I am quite happy with it so far. I was wondering what the highest temperature I should let my cpu run at is though? At 3.0Ghz on full load it's at 61 degrees cellsius. It's a little cooler at 2.9 so I thought I'd leave it they're until I can afford some better cooling.

Make sure it doesn't get over 55C, things might get ugly if so.
My advice to you is to invest in a Tuniq Tower 120 Cooler.

My local store doesn't have those, so ill probably be picking up a TRUE and a couple 120mm fans. Right now I have 3 80mm case fans which really don't move much air. So hopefully ill be able to run at 3.0Ghz with the extra cooling.

Then get at least a Freezer 64 Pro.

I find the 8800GTS overkill since it's not significantly faster than the GT and you'll need 4GB of ram if you're gaming. Otherwise it's a nice rig.
