Default All Out Overclock (amd)
Looking for opinions on build and some parts.

1. CPU 9600BE - unless u can prove it beats a duel in folding THIS

2. RAM - 2X2GB of..... something good for overclocking

3. Video - 8800GT - already got... dont try to change.. not in stores.. yet

4. Mobo - Another topic all together looks like This board so far

4. HDD - raptorX and either a TB or 750.. pending price of system..This for sure

5. Cooling - i need a water block for AM2... and a 8800GT

6. Monitor - already have

7. OS - Vista 64 premium... why pay extra for ultimate?

8. Sound - onboard OR USB .... dont ask why it will be in the build log

9. Case - already have and modding will be in build log

10. DVD-duel layer burner... most likely Lite-on sata... unless anyone gives another...

i think thats it...

Ordering from newegg and reputible sites. hopefully just newegg

1. moneys of little concern.. keep it nice.. keep it reasonable..

2. time of the essance.. will order either tommarow or sunday

your not really going to get a huge OC out of a phenom even if you do get the BE, but it is the best AMD processor out and yes it will smoke any amd x2 cpu.

Sigh... I tried to hold back, but I cant. You're going for such nice parts man, why not take advantage of the extra performance from intel? I just don't get fan boys... It's like looking at a block of gold and a block of silver and saying, I DON'T CARE WHAT THAT GOLD IS WORTH, I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED SILVER. SILVER FOR LIFE.

dont u guys have brands that u just wont buy?

i just... cant do it.... cant explain it.. i just cant.. i dont like intel that much.. maybe it had something to do with all the advertising they did in the 2000 ish times with blue group..

it kinds of reminds me of MS... hate them.. but have NO choice...

i like your ideas i wish i could go for a phenom, there awesome, although if i had the money i would go for a top of the line intel duo simply because they do most of the time smoke AMD, also duos can be better than quads for gaming i belive....

Really why are you going with a LanParty case and mATX motherboard? They're simply not as good as a full ATX motherboard.

That cheap power supply thrown into that crap case really isn't going to be able to handle a quad core, two hard-drives and a 8800GT.

I'd go with this instead.
