Default new phenom build (MAYBE)
alright im getting some money soon and would like to upgrade my comp. as you can see, it sucks. what i have already chosen is: corsair 2x1gb ddr2 800 DHX for $33 after rebate at newegg, saphire 3870 512 for $165 after rebate, PCPC silencer 610 for $100. however, i would like to go quad with (hopefully) amd. i can gurentee anything, no matter how tempting it is. the cheaper the better, but i would like to overclock as much as possible. help please

You can get a new motherboard that is am2 compatible and then get a Phenom at a diffent time.Then sell 3800 here.

i guess would be nice to have 7xx though. cant sell yet dont have enough rep =.= otherwise i would have tried to unload alot of stuff. i dont like the rep system very much. i might also get an e2180 an clock the poo out of it...

If you must go quad, I would stop at the Phenom 9500. Otherwise, I suggest that you got Dual core, and look for a 6400+ Black Edition.

My phenom 9500 is pretty stable at speed up to 3.3ghz.

Man! 9500 at 3.3. is it unlocked? What is the cooling system? What is your Vcore. Sys temps idle and load. Can you give us a bit more detail?
