sorry to hear you lost your job, hope you bounce back quick!
![]() That would be a great 2nd system for a buddy to come over and play on. I'd try to pick up a 9600GT though, you can find some of them pretty cheap now or soon enough they will go less.

Ya for $86 I would find a good used something or other here, you could easily find a 7900GS or 7900GT, and if your putting xp on it then dx10 makes no difference.

oh, i just remembered, and i should now put it in the original post, but these prices are AUD, so 7900GT's etc still sell for like 150 bucks over here

oh Austrailia, I didn't see your location. Might change things a bit, we American's are spoiled by newegg
Yeah if you could pick up a 7900GS or 7950 used would be really good and better than the 8600. And like Hauntsheep suggests both the 3850 or 3870 are good cards and might be found for decent price also.

I don't know the exact exchange rate, but they are like $75-100 for 7900GT in dollars. In fact I have seen 7900GS's go for $70 shipped...don't know what that exchange is though or if they would ship to you. I am just saying used might be an option.
