Default What next?

Sorry if this is long.
Old mobo:PCChips M825G (2 PCI, 1 AGP, 1 C
New mobo:PC CHIPS M848A (V5.0) 462(A) SiS 746FX ATX
With the old mobo, system would just restart by itself. No warning, just shut down and reboot. At first i could work for awhile then restart. About a month later, i could not even get to windows before it would restart. Cleared CMOS, ran Memtest86(no errors), switched cpu's, all same results.
With the new mobo, the first screen was the bad shut down asking which mode i want to run in(safe mode, safe mode w/networking etc...) If i click "start windows normally", right after the boot menu, i get just a flash of the blue screen of death, not even long enough to read it. Then, it restarts. In safe mode, about 100 lines come up on the screen(drivers i guess), they stop, then it restarts again. I can use cmos setup, boot menu etc. just fine. Even ran memtest86 again with no errors. Im ready to burn this thing. what next besides the torch?

This may be an issue related to your OS. You could try a recovery with the windows cd or else you might want to try and run a Ubuntu live cd and see if that boots for you. That may help eliminate the possibility of a hardware issue.

Good Luck

Update:I have just installed a brand new stick of 512mb ddr1 400MHz pc3200 Corsair ram. Switched the processors with a known good model match. I have replaced the power supply with a brand new 480 watt pwr supply. I have tried running 3 different hard drives all with windows xp. I have tried running the windows xp install disk, it goes through all of the motions, gets to the screen where it asks me "new install, repair xp, or escape" and then it restarts all by itself. Safe mode is still the same. runs about 50-100 lines of drivers then it restarts. In normal mode, it goes through the motions but before windows even starts, i get a blue screen flash so fast i cannot read it then it restarts.

I recommend getting a new budget build.... unless you are really, really, really poor, you could get a real cheap system for like 300 which can wipe that out....
