Looks great. I don't want to be that guy... But because you are new I am not sure if you are aware that as of now Intel CPU's are faster. If you just plan on gaming don't worry about it because CPU doesn't have a great affect on gaming but if you plan on doing CPU intensive work.... You might want to read up on Intel. But that CPU is still a great CPU.
Anyway it looks like a great build and that PSU is rock solid although a bit of overkill. You would be fine with a Corsair 520hx.
Those Seagates are great but I have heard reports that they are noisier than the Western Digital AAKS drives which provide similar speeds.

ive always been a fan of amd and if i over clock it to 3.0GHz at the minimum, then heavy use of my cpu wont be a problem.
also, ill check into other hard drive brands. thx for the potential problem warning

for your cpu/motherboard question... if you plan on running a single graphics, get a DFI LANPARTY DK x38, or P35... if you plan on future SLi i would run 780i or 790i. Me and my friend just both got new computers, I have a 780i, and he has a 790i and we both are having great experiences with overclocking these boards. I am at 3.7 on air, TT 120, and full load temp of 44 c. He is working on 4.0 on air, TT 120 modded (he changed the fan, and had to dremel part of the platform because the TT 120 will NOT fit on the 790 without modding) the TT base will hit the capacitors and will cause 40+ c idle temps @ stock settings. AS far as CPU is concerned, Intel all the way, E8400 for gaming, q6600 for epeen.

Apparently the Intel Fanboys can't stay in their own area...

Down to business: The 9850 is a beast. it's Floating-Point operations are better clock for clock than intels and the architecture itself is top-notch. It seems to do best at gaming and not as well at multimedia... But really, how often do you need multimedia to scale across 4 cores???

Anyhow at 2.8ghz on the stock HSF I hit 11847:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=6432223

Melcher with his E8400 @ 3.7 GHZ could only hit 12809, not bad, but the spider platform beats it clock for clock.

Another guy with a K9A2 is having excellent results using AOD, he hit 16263 3dmarks 06 today. Check out his post earlier today:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/31...ml#post3765994

You'll notice each core is set to a different multiplier.. Now that's quality engineering..

You may want to consider ATI 3870's over the 8800 gt as it is dated. Catalyst drivers seem to be MUCH better and 3870's are DX 10.1 + HD

It's working great for me and seems to be for BenBrown. The only better option is the DFI M2R. It's a bit pricey though. Apparently the DFR M2RS also works, but I'm not sure if it will take a 125 watt proc. People have had success with Asus and Gigabyte AM2+ boards, but I've also seen a number of those people hitting a chipset wall, that seems to be the boards and not the processor itself.

Audio Drives on the K9A2 took some work, but the sound quality is excellent for on-board audio.

my sys is liquid cooling, so no worries bout temp. (hopefully)

ill look into the 3870 gfx card

i already have a RAZER lachesis mouse and love it, sry.

I also have the barracuda sound card and love it.

btw, im new to OCing and i know it'll be easier with the pc built but is there somewhere with a tutorial for n00bs. im no foreigner to pc's but ive been more involved with programming and software than actual hardware tweaking.
