Will this build be any good for overclocking and is everything compatible?
__________________Amd Build I would prefer AMD, but will go Intel if I can build something a lot better for around the same price (or up to $2,000). If you can come up with a better Intel or Amd build please post it.

Looks good. What vid card you plan on going with? Since you have a crossfire board, I would recommend the HD3870x2 and you can always crossfire two of those for quad crossfire. You could also wait for the new AMD 4xxx to come out which look to be really good.

I planned on going with the Gecube 3870x2 I would wait for the 4xxx, but they probably be too pricey at release.

From what I've seen, some people have been having touble reaching 3 ghz with that asus board. You could go with a gigabyte or DFI instead. I think those are really good boards. The 4870 is going to cost less than the 3870x2 i believe, even when it first comes out, but its up to you.
EDIT: for your cpu cooling, I would recommend a thermalright ultra 120 extreme or the tuniq tower. Those will give you better temps then the zalman at about the same price.

Would I be better off with Gigabyte or DFI? I seen a lot of people have a Gigabyte. Should I swap my memory to something else if I change the mobo?

I think some g-skill 4 gb set or corsair might be better.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128074 Same price as the Asus Other than that, G.Skill has some nice kits as well as OCZ. Good luck ~Higgins
