Only bump once a day please.
Gigabyte EP35-DS3R: $140 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...cture=Gigabyte Intel E2180 2.0GHz: $97 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ufacture=Intel G.Skill 2x2gb DDR2-1000: $99 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ture=G%2ESKILL eVGA 8800GT 512MB: $164 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...nufacture=eVGA Antec Earthwatts 500W: $84 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ufacture=ANTEC Coolermaster RC-330: $47 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...e=COOLERMASTER Vista Home Premium 64bit Edition: $120 http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...ture=Microsoft Sub-total: $715 Dunno if there is sales tax on top of that, but that's roughly your budget pre-shipping. I don't know if there are sites with better prices that ship to Canada, because that system should be about a hundred less if you're shopping from Newegg or a site for the States. If you can find better prices, you could bump up that CPU to an E6750 or something. EDIT : Just realized this was an AMD build log and I forgot a hard drive. Whoops. Well, you can still use some of those other components as samples of something in your price range.

If you're only using 2gb of RAM, you should opt for the 32bit edition of windows. With that in mind, and the dirt cheap price of RAM, I would recommend a 2x2gb set of G.Skills. Even if you want to stick with 2gb total, I think G.Skills have been more reliable than OCZ sticks recently. Also, if you can find an eVGA or XFX GPU for the same price as that BFG, I'd go with them, as they have better warranties.
