It's been a while since the last update but I've used the last month for outdoor activities such as kite-surfing in Tarifa, Spain.

It's the most southern point of Europe and the border between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean.

This was a typical day on the beach (the coast in the background is Africa)

Back to our project...

Parallel to the AMD build there were two more CrossFireX PCs to set under water;
a QX9770 / X48 and a QX9650 / X38 combo:

The temperatures of HOT (Horn Of Triton) were at some points hot indeed.
The green marked area shows the hottest spot of the system. (Over 70°C - full load @3060MHz)

I thought, before I continue with higher overclocking, I'll need to construct a separate cooling for that region. Two 120mm fans lowered the temps about 15°C but that's nothing!!

Originally the Opty had to be cooled with my Vapochill but I can't find any S939 CPU kits for it.
This fact and the modular, open construction of the system, almost invites to go one step higher or better to say; as high as possible:

@LN2

Therefore I'll team up with Lord Tadeus, my vehicle fleet admiral

The Dark Knight

To be continued...
