Running XP I assume?
Given RAM prices I'd probably go ahead and get 4GB, since the video card is allocated RAM from it as well if I remember correctly? Even with 32bit you won't waste much if you assign 512 to the video card and if you ever want to upgrade your sitting pretty.

For what you want to do this system is great and should keep you going for some time, 4 or 5 years aren't out of the question for the applications you want to use given nothing breaks.
I've not had my hands on one yet but but the onboard card should even let you do some modest "real" gaming. There is not reason you can't slap another video card in it and do some high end gaming in the future as well. Your not gonna set any benchmark records or anything, but there's nothing wrong with what you've got there. It will definately blow away any premade systems your gonna get for around $400, both now and in upgradeability.

I'd change your RAM, I know GSkill is pretty popular but 6-6-6-18 timings are pretty bad a quick looks shows
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227248 as cheaper and better timings. For the comparison you posted your looking at 4x the ram, better onboard video, much bigger hard drive. Their processor may be a bit better, but yours is more than sufficient for what your doing and much more energy efficient.
