Default [Project] Name Me

Hey Guys,

I've posted a few threads on a build I'm doing, hopefully in two weeks. I'm gonna buy all the parts while I'm in Germany

Here it is:

AMD 5000+ X2 Black Edition
MSI K9A2 CF-F AM2+ 790X
2GB DDR2 800 RAM (Not sure of brand, thinking PQI, Geil, G.Skill, OCZ etc)
Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512MB
320GB HDD (Probably Samsung, as its the cheapest in the store I've visited online)
OCZ StealthXStream Power Supply.

Basically I want the PC to be upgradable, so thats why I chose a crossfire AM2+ mobo.

Feel Free to criticise...

Thanks

i read sumwhere that one of those vid cards may oull as much as 250+w under load

so i don't think that will be enuf

a similar setup with 2 GX2s wud require 530w according to psu calculator lite

maybe u shud go with a 620hx or sumthing higher

I'm now thinking of getting an OCZ StealthXStream 600w, its cheaper, mainly because It's not modular...

I'm sure that 520 is plenty of power for that setup with a single card.

You end up paying a premium for modularity(if that's even a word). I would recommend either a pc p&c 610w or a corsair 650tx.

to rpm666

it wud work if he was using a single card but he was considering a crossfire setup

and mcstuff is correct on that point. modular psus are a bit more expensive to the equivalent non-modular psu

Now it's worse, he's calling you a he/she. And for the name, I'm bad with names and can't think of anything right now. If something comes to me, I'll post it. Btw, why buy parts in Germany?

I'll be there on holidays with my girlfriend, and parts are a little cheaper, and I will save a bit on shipping...I'm broke
