Default Folding Rig Build

I'm going to start making myself a folding farm in the next couple months and need cheap, efficient, rigs. This is what I have so far:

Total: $199.94
I'm kind of skeptical about the PSU, which I why I need your guys' input. I didn't choose a case because I have a grand idea for a multi-folding-rig case, but that's another thread. Anywho, what do you think of the build so far? Do you think it would be worth another ~$60 to add a 2600Pro so I can run SMP and GPU2 in parallel?

If a mod would be kind enough to move this to the Intel Build Log section that would be great.

So, are you going to run SMP, or do you have plans for GPU2?

As of now, just SMP. I'm wondering if I could do both though.

You're right, my PPD would skyrocket, but I don't know if this rig could handle both at once.

You would need a quad if you wanted to do both. The rig doesn't look to bad right now. Have you any thoughts on going diskless?

I'm actually running both right now on my sig rig and browsing the internet, with no lag. lol.

Diskless, as in running the rig without an optical drive? Yes, that's the plan right now. Couldn't I just plug in a drive if I needed it, like to install the OS and such, then unplug it when I'm done?

Your running SMP and GPU2 on a duo, wow. If you run diskless, you can get rid of the h/d and run off of a flash drive.

Yup

Oh, that disc. lol
I knew ditching the optical drive is kind of a no brainer, but never thought about no HDD. How big of thumb drives would I need? What OS would I run?

i think he meant diskless as in no hdd. basically making just a pure computational node. i havent folded in years so im not sure how much if any diskspace is/might be needed. if you upped the ram you could always make a ramdrive for scratch space though if required and simply network boot images from a central hdd. youd save money enough perhaps to add a few nodes.

as soon as i move im going to start folding again with my small cluster. its in storage until i move though.
