Haha, you can totally do something like this, and I wont even be mad.

I got the nirvanna in the day before I left for the holidays so now I cant post any pics, because I'm a couple hundred miles away at my parents house. I did run into some weird problems with the nirvanna though.

It wasn't seating well at all, even though the clip was on there solidly, and it didn't wiggle or twist at all. The first time I applied TIM to just the IHS, and when I took the nirvanna off because of absurdly high temps... and lo and behold, there wasn't even any TIM on the HS base.

I applied the TIM the the nirvanna in blob form, and then re-installed. That brought temps down to about what my other ghetto lapped stock HS had, but then my flight was leaving, so I didn't have time to do anything else to it.

Ideas?

When I get that all figured out, I'll probably re do some stuff, and then post them up. I guess we'll see how it goes.

I finally got some of the side mesh on, so it looks a little bit better. Its not the greatest job out there... but considering the tools I had, I think it worked out pretty well. It was pretty dang tough to get everything all flush though, because this isn't just your typical 2mm thick side panel.

Basically, I am just using this case to learn alot, because eventually I am going to build another one, and I can figure out now what I want to do better on.

And weirdo, I dont have everything finished up yet... my temps still hit about 53c under load, which is just about what I got off of my old setup. I think that somehow this HS isn't seating very well. I'll likely be upgrading my CPU sometime soon, and will try to figure it out then (spending time to make already functioning hardware look better... is kinda far down my priority list atm).

Thanks guys!

Lookin' good, Logan.

Are you gonna put a grill on that front-side intake, or leave it "au naturale"?

I'm gonna get in there and put the mesh on there as well (so my roommates will stop sticking their finger in there, and so it looks better). But that will be a bit harder to do than the side, since I have to get both my hands and a stapler in there somehow. That will probably be done whenever I get my new Phenom II, since I'll be doing lots of other stuff at the same time, and will be moving stuff around.

All I know, is that its quite funny to see the look on peoples faces when you tell them that you have a wooden computer.
