Default Octo Opty Build

The goal for this rig is a dedicated folder. Goal is 20k PPD. Lets get on to the build, shall we?

ASUS L1N64 WS/B
2x Opty 8346HEs (quads @ 1.8)
2x Artic Cooling Freezer 64 Pros
2x2GB 667 Kingston ECC REG RAM
4x 8800GS(not ordered yet, prob a month or more away... 7600GT as temp)
160GB 7200.10
PCP&C 750 Quad
Vista Premium 64-Bit
Cooler Master HAF(ordered dont have yet.)

2x Opty 8346s, 2x Freezer 64 Pros, and 2x2 Kingston 667 ECC REG RAM.

CPUs, RAM, and one HSF installed.

Both HSFs installed.

OK, couldn't resist firing it up

I set it up in my RF. Im not going to us it for this build as it was mangled from watercooling a Max Extreme

If you wanna overclock for better perf, use nTune, the board clocks good on the HTT. HTT 265 is obtainable if your cpu's can handle it

no... don't use nTune.. its a POS

How many seconds have you spent with this board? None? Thought so.

You can not overclock this board through BIOS. HTT options does not work in BIOS 0301-0501 and is removed from BIOS 0506.

nTune is the only program that can change HTT value for more than one MHz at a time without freezing.

You can use clockgen, but it is highly unstable.

And yes, I agree, nTune is a POS
