Default First Time Lapping

hi guys, just wanna share my first time lapping experience.

Subject
1. AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ 125w 3Ghz 2MB L2
2. ZeroTherm NV120 Nirvana Cooler

Sandpapers
grits : 600, 800, 1000, 1500

1. b4 Pic,


2. after 600 grit




3. after 800 grit


4. after lapping








5. Cooler lapping










Load Temp
I compare default load temp i took b4 and new load temp
there's a 3c drop

Nicely done!

Remember that you may see another small drop in temperatures as the TIM cures; this process generally takes longer on lapped surfaces (150-200 hours of thermal cycling).

Weird that theres still a 7 degree difference between the cores. I would have thought the lapping would fix that
