Default SR-71 Blackbird ~ Phenom II 940 BE build

Alright so here we are now that I have taken apart my old sig rig to make way for Phenom II.

So here are some before pics:

Right now I have gutted my case of my old mobo, ram, processor, and GPU.

This is what I plan on putting in my new build:

DFI LanParty UT 790FX-M2R (ordered)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136041

Corsair Dominator 4GB PC-8500 DDR2 1066 x2 (Total of 8GB) (ordered)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145214

AMD Phenom II 940 BE Processor

HIS Radeon HD4870 1GB IceQ4+ Turbo x2 (for CFX)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161265

Also I am upgrading my watercooling to be outside the case and also with new fans. I plan on using my current X-Changer 240 and upgrade the fans to Noctua NF-P12 fans to just cool the CPU only.

Feel free to give opinions on things that haven't been purchased so far. Please rate the build as well! Thanks!

EDIT:

SHE IS DONE! Finally after getting everything together I managed to get her running in the TJ07.

Here are finished TJ07 pics!

You should change the mobo to the 790FXB: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...057&Tpk=790fxb

It has SB750 which overclocks a lot better than SB600.

I've done a lot of research on that topic, and actually had the SB750 DK board in my wish list until I found out a tiny little fact.
Apparently Phenom II's will come with the ACC pre-enabled in the chip itself!

I also saw that on most high overclocked Phenom's, most users just left the ACC at auto. It was explained on XS as the SB750 seems to help non BE and cheaper chips OC than the higher end Phenom's.

Also I went with the UT for the better PWM which should help OC the higher TDP chips.

@ heelsparky
I found that with my rad on the inside of my case, it was just getting really hot air rather than cooler ambient air. Hence the decision to move outside the case.

So here is update number 1. UPS dropped off some presents to me today:

So I started to move some things around in my case and this is how far I got:

Images moved and deleted

Note that this is without any wire management done.

So far I have:
changed my sata wires from UV orange to UV yellow.
removed the rad, res, block, and lines.
Placed the 8GB of Dominators into the new board.
Mounted the new board.
Placed the Transpiper on the outside of the case.

Next thing is probably going to be the video cards once I get my next pay check.

Then CPU and the loop last. Stay tuned!

Well I made a big decision to get rid of the 4870's.

The reason was, I wanted to start folding.

I "only" picked up a GTX 260 because I plan on upgrading to the 40nm nVidia GDDR5 GPUs when they come out later this year. Can't wait to get it all!

Looks like everything is coming together nicely.

I did some more loop modifications, like I ordered an EK X-Top Rev 2 top for the MCP655b and I'm changing the tubing over Feser UV Blue and I'm going to be running distilled with PT Nuke. I also got a hold of a Fusion V2 AMD mounting bracket from D-Tek so this thing will be ready to go under water as soon as the processor hits the egg.

Got new UV cathodes by A.C. Ryan to get better UV lighting inside the case and I ordered the XFX GTX 260 core 216 Black Edition.

On a side note I just updated the books on the build and even before the processor is added, I've already spent $3K on this sucker. Considering I haven't received payment on my E8500 yet from ebay and I also didn't receive payment from my dad on the mobo, ram and HD4870 I am actually out close to $3.6K. I would be upset with how much I have spent if I weren't so bloody happy with how it has turned out and how useful this beast really is to me!~!~!
