You can give him the 7300GT but the onboard GFX would probably outperform it, the 780G I believe can do Windows Aero while the 7300GT probably cannot.

Also, by your previous posts you are against torrents but there is a program out there that will remove the time restraint on the WIN7 beta, I don't know how to classify that as its not technically pirating but allows you to use the Beta infinitely

He more law-biding than I am. He is scared the FBI will find out or something. He doesn't need a super performer. I really don't think that he needs all the extra's. He just wants to play Enemy Territory: Quake Wars with me. Both his CPU & GPU suck. Plus he only has 512Mb of SD Ram. His motherboard and hard drive are about 7 years old now. They don't have a lot of time left.

2GB is not extra in today's computers, since you are leaving it at 1GB forget the WIN7 beta, you will have to stick with XP as I have tried to run Vista on 1GB and it was so painful I wanted to pull my eyeballs out.


Honestly I think the $10 for the extra 1GB stick is well worth it but to each his own

the 7300GT is 128 bit and should be close to 8500gt/9400gt in DX9 performance, so for dx9 its gonna be faster than the integrated 3200
not by a HUGE margin though but still better
