Default My New Phenom X4!
So I just ordered my new pc last night I got the cpu from here and the ram and mobo from Newegg. I was on a tight budget so its no the best stuff ever but it is a good deal for what I got.

CPU from the for sale thread.
AMD Phenom X4 9850

Mobo
BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX A2+ AM2+/AM2 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX

Ram
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)

I know the mobo isnt prolly the best but I had a restrictive budget. Total spent was 241.98 Thanks all!!

Edit: Update
The parts just got here. Best part I didnt have to reinstall, put my drives in and it booted right up!! I'm very excited!! My case/ psu mod didnt work though hopefully Ill get that figured out tomorrow. I was working on a duel psu system so I could power my mobo with one and my drives with another. Ill trouble shoot it at school tomorrow.

I do want to overclock it but I don't have experience with it. So far the only things Ive changed is the dram timings, voltage, and bus to the correct speeds for my ram. I'm on the stock cooler what do you think I can get out of it? and what settings should I use to get it?

Please be as through as possible. Thanks!!

Also I need some IDE to SATA adapters any suggestions?

Thats the loveable thing about AMD. A pimp upgrade for cheap. You could barely buy the motherboard with that budget if you went Intel.

thanks guys yeah I saw the thread with the quad and i was like might as well build a rig while I still have the cash. I hope my 480w power supply will feed my rig. If not ill throw a second older power supply into it to power my drives. And then save up some money to get a new one.
