Project M.C.POY-v2!
__________________Hello guy Im having problems with my current computer (the one below) Whats the problem? well parts are broken ive done gheto fixes to ti so many times but im simply tierd of it. So to the point; I want to upgrade my computer but i will do it in periods of 3 months (hey we are in a depression) First of id like to upgrade my GPU, second my MOBO and finally my cpu. Im going with the gpu first because i can trow it in my pc and it will work, if i buy the mobo / cpu and they are intell then im left in the dark. Could you recomend a gpu? i play mostly WoW and id like to have 60+ fps all the time. with high settings at 1680X1050 Its a 9800gt++ enough? i do play other games but with my laptops 9800gs everything plays fine so im guessing that the 9800gt++ will just pwon every game i trow at it. If you end up recomending the 9800 over a 260, could you recomend a MOBO to go with it? (i have 300 bucks to blow but the 9800 are just 100 bucks so i can afford a decent mobo with it, if i go for the 260 ill just buy that and use my asus for now) Here is my old computer just so you can see what parts i will be mixing up ![]() G.SKILL Extreme Series 2GB DDR 500 (3-4-4-8) - NewEgg Price $171.99 I bought mine from PinkFloyd so $140 ------------------- ASUS A8N-SLI Premium - NewEgg Price $157.99 I bought mine from PinkFloyd for $100 ------------------- Thermaltake Big Typhoon - NewEgg Price $55.99 I bought mine flatened from Soloz2 for $45 ------------------- XFX 7800GT 256MB - NewEgg Price $289.00 I bought mine from SoadMguy for $230 + (a pc3200 512 ram) ------------------- ZALMAN VF700 VGA - NewEgg Price $29.99 Free from SoadMguy thank alot man! ------------------ Thermaltake Armor B Aluminum/Steel ATX - Newegg Price $139.99 Plus 20 bucks shiping* ------------------ SONY 16X DVD±R DVD Burner - NewEgg Price $37.99 I bought mine from PinkFloyd for $25 ------------------ AMD X2 3800 (unknow stepping ) - NewEgg Price $297.00 I bought mine from Ebay for $261 OEM ------------------ Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-550W Power Supply - NewEgg Price $89.99 (well i dont know maybe i changed some time but now i have a 1kw one) I bought mine from Newegg 81.99 plus 6.99 shiping*

The ati 4830 should play WoW just fine for $70. The entire 48xx series is excellent for the prices. I wouldn't buy any of the old nVidia cards though. If you want to get an nVidia get a gtx 260. You can get one for 160-170 if you look arround a bit. Not quite as good a deal as ATI at the momment though IMO.
