Depending on the WU you get the 8800GS will be closer to 3500PPD.
My 9600GSO's have been getting a lot of 511 pointers, and that drops my estimated PPD to 3000, where the 353 pointers are around 4400PPD estimated. In reality, I am getting around 3500 ppd per card.

The GS/GSO is still a good cheap card, but is slowly getting bogged down by the newer WU.
I think the GTX+ is a solid actual 6000+PPD regardless of the work unit (this is from what I have read, I don't have one).

As for the 9800 GTX (+) and 9600GT on the same rig, it does hurt the PPD, but I read something about so long as the cards shaders are divisible by one another (and the 64 of the 9600GT and 128 of the 9800 GTX are good) it is not as bad as mismatched (like the 96 of the GS/GSO and the 64 of your GT would be).
I think your above combination of 2 GS and your GT would be more like 7500-8000 ppd actual (and probably about what I would guess a 9800GTX+ and 9600GT combo would be).

So you are saying that I should stick with the 9800GTX+/9600GT combo? It would be much less of a hassle if I did! Thanks for the help so far

From what I have read, yes.
I would wait for others to chime in for sure though, since I have no personal experience with the GTX+. The 9600GT is the big question though, I am not real sure how much it would hurt the GTX+ output.
I really think the GTX+ would be the better buy, since it is newer tech and handles all the work units well, and in a few months, maybe add a second for some really good PPD.

For the rest of the rig, looks good, but you could probably get by with a BE-2300 and save another $20.

I think that you are right. Going with the 9800GTX+ would be a better decision. Like you said, I'm going to get a second opinion on the bottlenecking issue.

Also, for a PSU, Look at THIS THREAD.
Some decent deals there (but I know some don't like buying refurbed items).

I think that I am going to buy one of these and put it in my rig. Then take my current 650w and put it in the folding one. Another nice find!

I might be selling my EVGA 8800GTS (G92) if I can find a 9800GX2 to replace them. I have two GPUs and I would like to get $100 for each. Let me know if you are interested. I have to wait to hear back from someone on the 9800GX2 before I know if I am selling them or not.

Sorry, but I'm going to get some 9800GTX+'s now.

Ok guys, I was able to raise my budget to 500USD, and there is a new list of what I am buying.

I would like to thank everyone for all the help. Without it, I'm not sure what I would be folding on.

That looks real good. Should have some good output with those cards. I would be willing to bet you will be around 10,000 ppd.

Curious why you went with the 7750 CPU, are you going to be doing SMP also?

Well, the 7750 CPU is only 7 dollars more so I went for it. It's the Phenom architecture, so I thought it would be better than the X2 5050e I was thinking of getting. Hopefully it will overclock a bit better. For those two reasons, I thought that it would be able to do some SMP.

Seeing how you account for half the posts in this thread, I would like to thank you again for all the help.
