I have thought about that and I don't think I'm going to try. It is hit or miss on if you are going to have problems or not.

I mean is my core a perfectly working quad that they cut the head off of the forth core? Or is it a quad that they had discovered some glitches with one of the cores and shut it down. That, to me, is too big of a risk taking to unlock it. I know that it will prolly not see 2.6Ghz ever again, unless I sell it.

My PC runs problem free at 3.5Ghz. Unless I got some much better cooling, I will keep it there.
