Default $750 Build for a Friend

So one of my friends at College has ~$750 budget for a computer that he wants to use for gaming, here's what I put together, let me know what you think:

Cooler Master 690 $79.99
500GB Western Digital $64.99
650 Watt Corsair PSU $99.99 (has a $25 dollar rebate, but I'm not sure if he'll purchase before it runs out)
Gigabyte MA780G-UD3H $89.99
4GB (2x2GB) G.Skill DDR2 1066 $59.99
Phenom II 920 $189.99
HIS Radeon 4850 $154.99

He has OS and Monitor

Total is $738.94
$777.94 after shipping

Let me know what you guys think!

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a pretty nice build lol. I can't say I'd honestly swap anything out, unless he has a bit more $$$ to step up to the 4870

A good build. The 4850 is 105w so a solid PSU that can do 400w on 12v should be fine. That 650TX is a good deal at that price.

I would definitly try to streach the budget for the 48701gb, it would singlehandeldy turn the rig into a high end rig that will last for a while.

Other than that nice components. Get an aftermarket cooler ( like the 30 buck xiggy) and overclock the cpu so it doesn't bottleneck your gpu. Not much point in going phenom II if you're not going to take advantage of the overclocking headroom.

Edit, you can use the cash Raffy saved you for this.

Lets see

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102801 Thats like 90 bucks more, which is almost exactly what you saved on the refurb case/psu.

Just throw in this for 30 bucks more http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233003

and bang 800 high end build (I know its 50 bucks over budget, but really worth it imo)
