Get at least the 780g instead of the 780v , if will provide better upgrade options in the future, 2x ram slots vs 4, and the price difference is 5 bucks or so... And maybe get the Corsair 450W instead , it's just 10 bucks more ,but you'll be 100% sure it will handle it for the years to come

Eh, he's not a power-user, doesn't know how to overclock, etc. This will be fine until he's old enough to get a job, then he can go from there.
