Well the Intel build will be faster and have triple the amount ram if thats what you need but its also going to cost a little over $200 more. IMO just get a single 6GB kit for the i7 build and go with it.

AMD if on budget, Intel if you want more power.

The Phenom II 940 only has a DDR2 memory controller in it so --- no DDR3 for that build.

that 940be is not capable of ddr3 yet. you'll have to wait till april.

go for the i7 if you don't mind spending extra $100+. but the ph2 is a smarter choice if gaming is your main purpose.

nVidia representative: PhysX, as seen in next-gen games like Batman:Arkham Asylum, PhysX makes your g200 based card BETTER than the 58XX series in all aspects. You'd be an idiot to buy ATI when you'd be forfeiting physX

the i7 will definately be more powerful, but will cost more.

i also second the vote on getting a 6gb kit (3x2gb). much cheaper and 12gb is way more than necessary.

and get a different PSU, most people will tell u not to buy the raidmax. get a corsair 750tx

i still vote for the i7.

if u want AMD, wait till all the AM3 stuff is out.
