Only once have I had that problem, and it occurred in reverse. The terrible factory finish on the SI-128 caused some damage to my Toledo's IHS.

Yeah I already had it happen to one of my zalmans already so I'm pretty carefull when mounting my HSF to the CPU.

Off Topic: blitz do you know what the best free online tax service is out there. I tried Turbo Tax but I have a 64 bit os so it will not work online. Maybe I can try to download the app and file that way. I'm under the gun to file well that's because I don't know if I owe or not...

A little late to be starting I think since it is due in a few hours...

I personally used the TurboTax you buy in stores on my dad's PC (Vista Ultimate x86) a few months ago. Sorry I cannot help.

blitz here are the settings I tried, I got 54C load with the short version of the S&M test at 3450MHz.

Multiplier was left at x15 and the FSB to 230, the only other things I changed were the voltage on my ram from 1.8v to 1.9v, and added +.025v to the vcore.

For some reason though the first test of S&M, I think the program crashed because it stayed at 100% completion on the first memory test so I had to stop it. I ran the memory test afterward separately and it passed, it passed everything in the first test as well.

Question, I may have skipped over this detail in your first post but did you lap your cooler?

By the way my ambient is 21C.

I did not lap my cooler; I tested it for flatness and it looks as such.

For maximum temperature, you need to run solely FPU under "Long" and "100%." In the settings page, uncheck all checkmarks but "Result." Make sure you disable the hard drive test.

My ambient is about 18º C.

If memory serves me, 1.344 V ran OCCT fine, but I got a NAN under F@H SMP, which is why I changed it to 1.376 V.

For the record, with CnQ on, I am idling at 23º C right now.
