3300 is a success... I will be increasing my HTT and trying again.
![]() Temps: ![]() I think it is fair to say my mods have worked well. I am down to 53º C max while overclocked in OCCT versus 63º C after 5 minutes of OCCT stock pre-mods. Voltages:

Yes, I realize I am cross-posting with the PhenomII Stepping database; that will stop after I find my max PhenomII clock and start optimizing RAM, which will be in this thread solely.
Well, 3450 is stable... here is proof before I move along. ![]()

Okay... now it is starting to get "fun." Where 3450 MHz could run with no molestation, I am having issues getting 3600 MHz to stabilize. I have now cut the RAM down to DDR2-800 from DDR2-960, decreased the NB from 2400 to 2160, and increased the CPU voltage to 1.376 from 1.328 V. Let us see if it runs now.

Answer: no.
I seriously think the RAM is the issue. I will try 533; but I be RMAing the RAM Monday, so it might be moot.

No BSOD, but it still fails.

What temps are you running? OC'd 940's like cold more than volts.

Only about 2º C warmer than when testing at stock; that is, still in the mid-50s. I really think the RAM is to blame, I just gave up for now, setting it back to stock until I get the RAM RMAed.

Blitz, the stress test failed with your my divider at 533? Sorry you know my math is bad but what is your memory frequency sitting at with the 3.6GHz overclock? I'm assuming you tried testing at 3.5Ghz?
Good luck

I had not Thlnk3r; I was only jumping by 10 MHz increments just for the fun of it.
Memory computations on a K10 are very simple as compared to a K8; the math is identical as it is to a C2D, C2Q, i5, or i7 (or many others) due to the distinct north bridge clock. That is: Divider * (HTT_OC / HTT_stock) = 533 * (240 / 200) = 640 You can see that 667 gives me DDR2-800 straight up.

For those of you who know me from the Socket 939 Appreciation Club and Knowledgebase know that I like to tinker with math and formulae. I made a spreadsheet that will compute all the significant numbers of a K8 overclock, but I found with my K10, some no longer applied. Accordingly, I have modified the spreadsheet so it works with both K8 and K10. I am sharing it below.
Directions are in the spreadsheet. For K8s (ClawHammer, Newcastle, Winchester, Venice, Manchester, San Diego, Toledo, Orleans, Lima, SledgeHammer, Windsor, Brisbane, and Denmark), you use only the black inputs. Your output is black and blue. For K10s (Agena, Toliman, Kuma, Deneb, Heka, Sparta, Callisto, Propus, Rana, Regor, and all other STARS processors), you use the black and red inputs. Your output is red and blue. EDIT: ONCE AGAIN Pez broke something. I have edited on a new (hopefully fixed) version. EDITx2: For now, the "Ratio" is still in beta. Neat ratios (1:2) it gets right. Not neat ratios (3:8) it gets wrong and calls it craziness like 200:533. That is a fix for another day. EDITx3: Fixed the ratio display.
