If you haven't flashed the BIOS before getting the 9950 and attempting to install it, I'd say that could be your problem. Especially if it worked before installing the 9950, and will work with the 6000+.
Actually...I'm almost certain that you'll have to flash the BIOS. I had a ASUS M2N-E, before even purchasing my 6000+, I had to look into my options. Checked the HCL and seen which cpus it supported. Found that I had to flash the BIOS in order to get a Phenom higher This post got rid of my demon post count.

Hi Alpha,
__________________I read what you are saying and I guess from reading other posts around here regarding RAM not working as it should according to motherboards specs, it wouldn't surprise me to have to flash the BIOS, even though the Gigabyte site shows the Phenom should work with the same BIOS I bought it with. I'll download the latest BIOS from the earlier link and burn it to a disc, then refit the 4200+, flash the board and then refit the Phenom. I'll let you know how I get on later tonight, should have done the flash by around 8pm Melbourne time, I think you are around 15 or so hours behind me here. Thanks

Hey Guys,
__________________Thanks for all the help, the first thing I did when I got home was pull the 4GB of Dominator RAM out and put in a 2GB strip of cheap Kingston Value RAM she fired up all OK..!!!!!! The thing I noticed was that with the Dominator RAM i had to use DIMM's three and four due to the huge CPU cooler and the tall cooling fins on the RAM, but when I put the 2GB stick in, I put it in DIMM 1 - this may have been the issue - but now I have to try and set up the board to use DIMM slots three and four so I can use the high speed RAM otherwise I'll have to take it back and change it for OZC or something that is normal size. Thanks again for all the ideas guys, but it came down to something real silly. Just trying to work out how to get the three and four slot DIMM's working now. Cheers

Did you get this message before? Because it means either of these things: 1) The OS somehow corrupted and you have to re-install. 2) The HDD is broken / has bad sectors. 3) The HDD cable is not attached properly. 4) The mainboard is acting up, might be broken. 5) The boot order has been changed to boot from USB.

It wasn't booting b/c of your ram you need to plug only one stick in go into the bios and manually set the dram timings and voltage the the correct specs for your ram. Then save settings reboot and put the second stick in. I had the same issue when I upgraded my ram. For the disk boot error do you have the boot order configured correctly?

I'm guessing you have some sort of usb drive inserted? you'll get that error sometimes when the bios tries to boot from the flash drive just remove it and you should boot fine. Also, you have 'boot from other device' enabled and possibly set as first boot priority but even if its set to boot last it will give you that error a lot of times. I have to remove mine everytime I restart but mine is bootable for installing operating systems from but if I don't have an OS on it I get that error instead of booting like a disk.
