Yeah it does sound like it's the HDD, which is odd. But at least you can have a properly powered system now .

The thing is, even with the good HDD with Win XP, it still won't boot and fire up into Win XP now, it keeps saying the HDD is set up as a SATA drive, but I can clearly see it isn't, its IDE....I'm completely baffled...

I'm sure there's a bios option that you haven't discovered. Just look at every option, there aren't that many to go through.

Alot of times if you switch out parts your windows wont work until you reinstall because of driver issues (happens every single time for me, made a great drive stealthing story). /kick for not looking at sig rig. Try to reinstall windows, also if you go to boot with a driver disk in sometimes it screws up.

You will need to do a fresh install on that HDD. It probably has older drivers for a different mobo.

First of all, you should not randomly flash bios.

Does the monitor detect the computer? Like if you plug or unplug the DVI cable from the monitor does the monitor change?

Hey mate,

I haven't flashed the BIOS as it is already on the latest F3 version.

As you'll see from my posts, most of the time, I get no beep and a black screen.
