Default Found a home for the beast

I found this case down the market for 10 Euro, the one on the right I found for 5 Euro.

This is it so far,

You wouldŽnt believe it, the heat sink protrudes out the case.
I think IŽll either mod the case, or just leave it open.

Looks like its time to case mod
Might want to paint it black while you're at it

That's actually kinda cool

You're not going to get fantastic airflow with that case. I'd be tempted to take out the floppy and both opticals, cut some holes for fans and slap some grills over them. You can always get an external optical.

edit: Then paint it black inside and out!

Nice setup, but why that board doesn't have all solid caps is beyond me, why make a "Pure" high end board and give it Welfare caps it's silly!

/rant, dunno what got over me!

Its an older board. They just didn't use all solid capacitors back then.

Its PCI-E 2.0x16 8x,8x

Hey cool , thanks for the tips.
Case mod ideas was going to be my next question .

I was thinking about two oval shaped holes (case, side) running horizontal where those last two lugs on the HS tower are ?

I can loose the floppy and one drive.
What about the face, hole cut at the bottom. ThereŽs already a fan mount there?

I meant to turn the entire front of your case into intake fans
You'll have to mod the side panel for it to fit your heatsink anyways. While you're at it, try adding an intake over your video cards. Top exhaust is overrated imo; the PSU is in the way. Its much more effective in a bottom mounted PSU like in the Antec 300 or Cooler Master 690.
