Sound cards typically use PCI slots, not PCI-Ex16. There are some that use PCI-Ex1

When you go shopping around, make sure to keep an eye on shipping prices especially on large items like cases. They can get pretty pricey.
The E2xx series isn't worth it unless you can get it used for $40 or so. The newer E5200 has double the cache and it really makes a difference.
Going AMD in this price range isn't really worth it. The best price/performance for AMD is the Phenom II 720 but it goes for $145 on Newegg.

Well that's easy for you to say, you have 10x rep than I do. I help people all the time but they never rep, it gets annoying, cause I wanna sell stuff and Ive been on this site for a year and no one reps. I didn't ask for it btw, I just reminded him to rep people if they find things helpful since he's new.

I'm just sayin' -- it seemed like you implying that he should rep you for the help you offered-- which is against the TOS. But, IMO you will find that if you help people for the sake of helping and not seeking REP, then the REP will come faster than you think. It's all about intentions and the REP gods know that.

Oh yea, if you build it, they will come.
