Default Budget PC $500

Hello,

I wanted to build my first computer and I want it to be very cheap. I'll need everything except an OS; including a monitor, keyboard, mouse. I'd like a 500gb hd, 17" monitor, and decent audio. I won't be doing very much gaming on it.

That's gonna be a tough budget with a Monitor, keyboard and Mouse, but I will give it a try

19" is the new 17"
For $500, you might not be doing any gaming on it especially if you need a monitor as well.

The monitor is going to be a bit pricey I see. Acer 18.5" on newegg for 100$ might be alright?
