Sorry for not stating a reason.
A HD 4890 is a great single card, but two HD 4870s in crossfire will obliterate the 4890 no matter how high it is overclocked. Also regarding factory overclocked cards, you can usually achieve the same speeds yourself using rivatuner.

Its up to you really. ASUS are okay, but personally I would go for Sapphire or XFX.

Icehousewill, if you decide to go with two 4870's make sure you pick up a power supply that would be able to handle both cards. The wattage and 12volt amperage will be very important for this.

EDIT: Did you switch out the PSU from the last time we spoke? Your OCZ should be just fine for this build. It has 62amps on the 12volt rail which is perfectly fine for handling two 4870's.
