AMD Overclocker

This is what I plan on buying in the next 3 days. Please tell me if you think costs can be lowered in any way, or if I am doing something wrong. I'm getting that GPU because its $160 and comes with Far Cry 2, Mirrors Edge, CoD:WaW, and a wireless controller.

The CoD WaW game offsets it. Edit: Apparently it also comes with 3DMark Vantage

I prefer OCZ freeze as well myself, that was a good suggestion.
Build looks solid, only thing I can think of is that the XIG can only mount horizontally with AM2/AM3 boards, and the clip retention system is a bit of a PITA. Should not be an issue with your case, but it is for some (it was for mine). If you find you want to mount it vertically, sadly you'll have to buy a new heatsink. Also, be wary that the ultra-kaze 3000 is very, very loud without a fan controller to vary the speed. For some people this is fine, for me I find it annoying considering that they only dropped my temps by 1-2 degrees at most over my slipstreams. The jump in noise is very noticeable, I think I may just shroud some slipstreams instead and you may want to consider that as well. Just my two cents, but once again a very solid build and you should be happy with it. Here's hoping the build goes smooth, and you get a great OC!

And do you have another fan suggestion? It needs to be on Newegg.

Whoops, didn't see you had replied to this thread, was still posting in your other one.
Some people choose to mount their cpu cooler's vertically, because that's the optimal setup given the airflow in their case. By vertical or horizontal I still mean within a tower configuration, but in a 'horizontal' mount the heatsink is facing 'down' drawing air up from the VGA cards and exhausting it out the top of your case. A 'vertical' setup on the other hand typically draws air from the 'right' of the heatsink, and exhuats air out the case to the 'left', as usually people have the fans at the front of the case as intake flow etc. It will vary from case to case, and as I said your case would be fine with the xig mounted horizontally. Do keep in mind however, that with AM2/AM3 systems that is the ONLY way you will be able to mount it - I found that out the hard way after purchasing mine. If you change cases, or find that your vid card is restricting airflow, you wont be able to mount it otherwise. Not a big deal for most, but it was quite the issue for me. That's why I ended up picking up a NH-U12p - I would've gone with the TRUE but it does not allowing vertical mounting with AM2 boards and that's a deal breaker for me. Also, the ultra-kaze 3000 is a great fan, but it is VERY loud. Some people are fine with this and that's ok, but you should always consider getting a fan controller with one unless you are a very heavy sleeper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185060 The slipstream I listed there is a better CFM/DBA ratio, and although some people still say it's too loud most are fine with it. The main thing however is that you are losing static pressure from the 38mm thickness of the kaze, and depending on what you are using the fan for this can be an issue (I'm going to guess you are using it on your XIG). Some people gut another fan they have lying around to use as a shroud to help combat it, something worth considering (I'm going to do this myself actually).

You can jump to the Phenom II 940 quad build for only a little extra cash, $169 at ZZF right now.
