Yes it would, especially on cooling the other components the rely on passive cooling. What fans were you looking at?

cooler master and scythe
__________________scythe gentle typhoon http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185092 the scythe sflex look okay but the more i think about it the less noise matters i always have a large fan running because of the heat here anyway. I want something that moves as much air as possible for around $10 each and two of them need to be narrow, i heard some fans dont fit in the front of the antec 300 looking at the scythe they are measured differently m³/h not sure how that converts

Do you have a good computer store near you? For example micro center. You might wanna go there because shipping prices for fans at newegg are a rip-off. I prefer xigmatek and adda fans. If you dont mind noise scythe have some of the higher output fans, such as the ultra kaze(insane). While CFM does matter, what matters more is static pressure, especially on fans that are forcing air though something(IE coolers/exhaust fans).

definitely going with water cooling with my automotive knowledge i am going to make a super crazy water cooler. in the mean time i need to add some new fans (I might need a bigger case for my water cooling idea's...)
__________________The the ultra kaze's are too wide to fit in the front fan slots of my antec 300 (max 25mm wide) whats the next best fan in this width range? i think i'll use two ultra kaze's for outtake. and maybe replace my 140mm top Fan with a better system controlled fan(maybe a Kaze). what fans if any would work best with my motherboards system fan/4 pin connectors? i think i have 5 system fan connectors but i don't think i can control all of them through bios.

I'm not all that knowledgeable when it come to all the different fans available. I had luck with the fans(remus) i posted in the 720 BE thread, so you might wanna check them out. I'm interested to hear your plans for water cooling.

update...
__________________Added four ultra kaze 3000rpm fans today. removed HDD bay. (adding pics somewhere but theres already a couple antec 300 threads) ?1? My computer has 3 system fan connectors on the motherboard but only 1 and 2 show up in bois(all other software like speedfan only show one chassis fan). and when i reduce fan speed to 50% ultra kaze rpm only goes down to 2800 ??? is there a better software solution, and i understand i might be able to use a splitter to control 2fans?? the good news my mobo temps droped 6-7C and HDD down 3C. but less than 1c drop for cpu temp(still 44c idle). ?2? I need A cpu cooler. i'm still working up a WC plan but i want to get something in the mean time to continue safe OC'ing my first choice after much review is the mugen 2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835185093 Scythe MUGEN-2 SCMG-2000 - 36.99 i compared it to these two in my $25-50 range, but i also like the noctua nh-u12p. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835233023 XIGMATEK HDT-S1284EE 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - 39.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835202007 OCZ OCZTVEND2 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler - 49.99 any comments? suggestions? Edit: used this review http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coo...mugen-2_9.html but i still dont know how it compares to a ziggy/ocz/noctua
