Awesome mang , that thing should give you some fun !!
Good luck and can't wait to see how it turns out !! Disregard the haters about 939 platforms. I still run one and not even dual core and it flies !!!

I actually think it will be more expensive to build with that stuff then if you were to buy everything new, old tech is expensive.

this venice is 2.2 standard,so 2.7 is ok.What sort of voltages and temps are you getting with your 3800(san diego?)

voltage was up to 1.50/55 i cant remember now, but it didn't last long.. got too hot
so its back down to 2.45 (ish) gig... going to have to get cpz on here to see what is happening.. plus im going to have to practice more to get a handle on what exactly i need to do for most stable OC'ing. thanks for all your input so far guys

Socket 939 Overclocker

Can't wait to see what you get that 170 up to
. Hopefully you've got a lucky chip like mine....and why NOT run Socket 939 in 2009? There's nothing wrong with it...its still K8, just like AM2 dual cores. Also, check my sig out, there's a great 939 club here on OCN .
