well the xp sp2 disc wouldn't recognise the hdd as was configured in the bios to run as sata, so changed it to emulate ide, installed xp, downloaded the sata2 driver, changed the bios back to native and away it went woop! no need for the f6 driver during install

There is nothing wrong with 939 platform at all!! Its my favourite platform and i run it to this day..i prefer my opty rig to my quad. Its still seriously quick. Good luck on the build and post pics and overclocks when your done. You should be able to get the opty to 3.0ghz if its a good stepping. Im not too familiar with the mobo but itd be nice if you could get your hands on a DFI NF4 board..took mine all the way to 389 fsb!!..stock 200..that was an amazing overclock back in the days.

Yea 939 FTW. I got your back yo, any questions shoot me a PM or like others said check out the s939 club. Also if your interested I'm about to put the RAM in my sig up for sale - as I just upgraded to 2x1GB sticks from OCZ. The G-skillz are some killer sticks -- DDR550 (have got them up to 271Mhz with the timings a bit loosened -- great latency. And I bought them from CyberDruid -- so they're famous. Let me know.
