Default going old school....first build!

Hello out there... first post, and yes i am a newbie to the world of OCing, so i'd like some thoughts on the parts i have been gathering in order to build myself my own "rig". Here is the list;

ASROCK 939 dual SATA II mobo
Opteron 170x2 E6
ATI Radeon X800 PRO
OCZ stealth 500w PSU
1gb (2 x 512mb) Patriot XBLK PC3200 RAM
Arctic cooling freezer 64 PRO
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 SATA II
Pioneer DVR-15 SATA

All going in a twin fanned ATX case

So there you go, yes i am fully aware that lots of those bits are in computer terms ancient, but if i gave you the spec of my current PC you would all fall over laughing!!

Im not a huge gamer, but i do like the Sim City series of games, HELLGATE-london, COD#. Watch lots of TV, films, listen to, rip and burn music, am an avid photographer so photoshop is soon going to be on the horizon.

Thoughts and tips would be appreciated

Oh my, I had forgotten the Opteron 165 and 170. If you're lucky you're going to have a 3Ghz dual at your hand. Good times those were, I miss them

Eww...939, for 2009? Couldn't you at least get a AM2 board and a Athlon X2 7xxx? They're really cheap. 60-80 bucks.

He says he already has these parts,why should he spend money for parts when he seems to have a pretty good setup for old school stuff.

OP:good luck with the Opty,I loved mine until it died two weeks ago(need to find another)

you should try in the 939 club if you have any problems
