Better memory: G-Skill PI Black PC7200 CL4.
Better power supply: Corsair TX650.

You should also look for a videocard with custom cooling. The Sapphire Vapor-X cards are great.

I couldn't find the G-Skill at that speed ^^;;
Better overclockers than the Crucials in general?

My parts are a mix of both style and pricing (main reason for the Tracers). I fell in love with the Tracers when I did a build with them once at work. I just had to have them in my next build, plus I've heard good things about being more than decent OCers. Of course if the G-Skill would destroy them, price-performance trumps all.

I'm currently looking into another PSU choice as the OCZ 600w used to the king of cheap PSUs at $40 bucks but has steadily risen in price in the last couple months. Anyone have anything to say about the Tuniq I posted earlier?

edit: Oh yeah, and in my first post I mentioned that I was going to upgrade to 4770 CF after the blower fan design for those come out.

I think I've had good luck with parts. I've only burnt out one GPU (probably messed up when applying TIM). Hopefully the DFI board won't be DOA like people fear for their boards. I'm super excited to finally get to use the amazing Genie BIOS.

On the subject of failing components(sorry not too happy of a topic), I was looking into a RAID 0 perhaps for the build. How reliable is RAID? Any experiences with hard drives/arrays failing?

Another question:
What's with plasti-dip? I've seen some worklogs with it but is it just a substitute for case painting? Will it work on the SECC metal of the Sniper?

trust me when i say that the Gigabyte motherboards are so much sweater then the DFI's. Not only do they look so much cooler but they give DFI a run for there money and do kick there ass in the end.

Take a look at them. If i ever go DDR3 and AM3 then this is the mobo that im getting

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=5&subcat=1377

so many features i dont need but i can tell you one thing

"your rather have it and not need it, then need it and not have it"

I read through a lot of the plastidip threads recently and according to people who've used it, it DOES work on SECC and you wouldn't have to sand. Sounds like a win/win to me.
