Mount one of the 230mm fans to the back of the 5.25" bay and remove the front metal bay covers (not the clip-in grills obviously)

Subbed, I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out

Good luck!
something like this did it today. I thought it was a good idea for clearing the way for air to flow. should help to keep vid cards cooler and case temps a bit lower.

Yup for sure!

Plus I didn't like that the HDD's were warming the air as it entered the case. I only have one optical and two HDDs, so I put them into the top three 5.25" bays and mounted a spare 230mm fan at the bottom 5.25" bay drawing air in to HSF. Also I used the third 120mm bay to the right on the ceiling as an out for the HDD/optical area, works nicely for me.

The HAF internals look so cool in black, if only I had the patience/motivation to paint mine

I don't know how many times I've seen your "system" change already.

I've got dual PSUs so I can't fit a 230mm on the ceiling so I've got two 120mm fans up there instead. Plus the 230mm mounted on the 5.25" bays is feeding cool air to the CPU and RAM, the last thing I want is to add the heat from the HDDs to that, therefore adding the 120mm directly above them should direct some of that heat away. Again this is all minute changes that probably amount to very little difference in case temps, but hey this is OCN

Have you noticed any performance increase by going with two psus?

Well tbh I'm only using it because my old one was underpowered for my new 4870x2, although I have noticed more cpu overclocking stability, but that could be my imagination

When I can afford a new PSU I'll be getting rid of both of these
