I also found the Gigabyte GA-MA790FXT-UD5P wchich does support DDR3, but has really bad reviews. What should I do? Should I just stick with the FX and buy DDR2 RAM, or get another mobo?

PS: I just got a PM with an offer of an almost new Antec 902 for 85$ (inc. Shipping). Will this case fit my PSU, etc?

Thanks
Get a UD4P, stick with DDR2. DDR3 will give no gain everyday usage performance, you might get 1 fps while gaming but spending all the extra money for 1 fps is pointless. Everything will fit in the Antec 902 perfectly fine.

Oh, I was wanting to get the DDR3 because of the much higher frequency (1600 compared to the 1200 in DDR2 for about the same price) and because the CPU has a combo with the memory, which saves me a lot of $$$.

Also, are you referring to this UD4P? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128387

I am sort of confused about what to do.

1) Get mobo that supports DDR3?
2) Get DDR2 RAM for about the same price as the DDR3?

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Buy this motherboard for AM3, its the best in my opinion.
If you build a new system dont use a AM2+ board cause ur using DDR2.

Thanks a lot, +rep.

Two final questions:

1) Is the Antec902 a good case?

2) Do I need to apply thermal paste on the CPU/Heatsink? What kind?

Merci

Antec 902 is just a refreshed 900. It does have some improved features, but don't pay a ton more than the 900.
And yes, you will need thermal paste - the stuff that comes with heatsinks is usually not very good. I reccomend MX-2 or OCZ Freeze.

The thing is that someone (and dont know if I should say his name or not) sent me a PM offering me an antec902 for 85$ shipped. He said it is almost brand new.

Should I buy an almost new 902 or a brand new 900?

PS: Should I apply the thermal paste only on the Heatsink or on the CPU as well?

That seems a fair price
Go with the 902 in that case.
And unless the heatsink you buy has exposed heatpipes on the base, you apply the thermal paste to the CPU.
