Sorry for the horriable organization (btw, it is going to be in raid)....this is a thread from the intel build, but it would be cheaper to go amd alright! its for a friend that is going to be doing light gaming (diablo 3) and school work. Given some suggestions like getting a slower videocard (downgrades from a 4870 1gb) and the vista cd shouldn't be oem (but the dvd retail is liek 100 bucks moar :O). Anyways, any suggestions would be awesome.... i know the PSU is overkill, however its pretty inexpensive for 650 watts....migth help him in the long run if he ever wants something more powerful

His location states Canada, so yes.

Anyways, I know it is a pain to buy computer parts in Canada. So much high prices..

Anyways, that looks like a good setup you have there.

Instead of the 4830, get this:

http://ncix.com/products/?sku=39674&promoid=1146

That should save you some nice green-backs, and will not make you loose too much performance (which you could just overclock to get the performance back).
