Default Where to save money on AM3 Build.

Here is what I have so far:

Samsung SM2433BW 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor £216.99
Asus Crosshair III Formula AMD 790FX (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £144.99
XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 XXX 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £115.99
Coolermaster HAF 932 Case - Black (No PSU) £114.99
PC Power & Cooling Silencer 750 Quad-Crossfire PCI-E 750W Power Supply £83.98
AMD Phenom II X2 Dual Core 550 3.10GHz Black Edition (Socket AM3) - Retail £79.99
Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD103UJ) £66.99
Logitech X-540 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System (970223-0120) £66.69
OCZ Platinum AMD Edition 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C7 1600MHz Dual Channel (OCZ3P1600LVAM4GK) £54.99
OCZ Alchemy Series Elixir 2 Keyboard (OALKBELX2UK) £16.99
OCZ Eclipse Laser Gaming Mouse (OCZMSECD) £15.99
Razer Goliathus Omega Control Mat Gaming Surface £10.34
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g) £6.89

Total : £995.81
Anything to save costs?
The monitor and speakers will hopefully last, so a new build will be cheaper, along with the mouse, mousepad and keyboard. Oh yeah and case and PSU

Mobo looks expensive. Maybe look at Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard? (£40 cheaper on overclockers.co.uk) I've heard it overclocks as good as their high end board.

You call that cheap?

Anyway, sure you can save costs, just go AM2+ and pick a nice set of DDR2. And swap that overpriced Asus board for something else.

Also you don't need a 750w PSU for a single HD4870, basically a Corsair VX450 would be enough.

Get a regular version of the HD4870, or one with a nice cooler instead. You can overclock it yourself.

And paying £10 for a mousepad is a bit much imo...

To be honest I would get this - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/159769

Sure you can get it cheaper but its a proven overcloker and is one of the best AM3 boards out. Also its had more time for the bios to evolve.

Have one in my other rig with a 550 and the same OCZ ram that youve picked and it can hit 4ghz stable.

Overclockers.co.uk is the only company I know of so far that ships to Cyprus :P
Forget mouse pads, etc, but more on the core components.

I need the powersupply to last, and there arent any good AM2 motherboards either;
Unless I go M4N, but I don't want NVIDIA.
Unless you guys can find me a cheaper European e-tailer that ships to all of europe?
