Long time no see guys,
I've been inactive for about a year now i'd say. And i must say i've missed this scene quite a bit. So, i'm looking to build something up to date, and i want it watercooled from the start so i can experiment with some OCing etc. My Budget would probably be about $2500 - $3000. I'm not up to date on the newest processors, graphics cards etc. What is in my sig is what i used to have, but i've down graded. So if i could have some suggestions of a build, incl, watercooling then that'd be appreciated. Also this budget does not include any peripherals, just the box and cooling. Thanks fellas, its good to be back.

Oh now that's a budget I like see
![]() ![]() ![]() i7920 D0..............................................$280 Gigabyte GA-X58 Extreme........................$329 6x2GB DDR3 1600...................................$200 3x 4890s............................................. .$507(w/rebates) Corsair HX1000W...................................$199 (w/rebate) 4x WD6401AALS........................................ $276 That comes to $1,792...didn't include every single thing you'll need (sound card, dvd etc) but should leave you with good amt of cash to pick really sweet case + water setup EDIT: ok...I'll add my recommendation for a case (a huge case) Cooler Master ATCS 840..............................$200 Now you're at roughly $2k, add a sound card for $100, DVD drive for $30, some cables & junk well round up to $2.2k......you got $800 left for cooling and whatever else I forgot ![]()

Check out the pic in the thumbnail - that's for the mail system
Asus Crosshair 3 mobo AMD 955 CPU 2x XFX 4890 video cards Intel 80 gig SSD for system drive (it is so worth it) 2x 1TB WD Black I'd recommend in RAID 1 for data protection, or separately if you wish 8 gigs DDR3 ram HAF 932 case Corsair 850HX PSU - yeah, it's expensive, but it's 80+ Gold certified, 7 yr warranty, and great reviews Creative Sound Card - you could go for a more advanced one if you feel the need That totals about $2k or so. Now for water cooling: 2 full body covers for the 4890s (will set you back about 90 each) good CPU block, pump, tubing, res/t-line (whichever you prefer) some good radiator or two, but you'll have to pick this one yourself based on how you wanna build your WC loop Total for WC should be around $400 I know the total is still within your budget, so get yourself a 27" Dell Ultrasharp (or even a 30") and you'll have an absolutely amazing gaming rig. (this would be my dream rig, for now) Hope this helps.

How does this go when it comes to overclocking? Has anyone got the g19 keyboard? Its bloody expensive lol, dunno if itd be worth it. Thanks for all the help so far guys, i'll spend a few hours looking around the site at all the latest stuff and see what we can come up with!

@OP: Definitely go i7 with that kind of budget. Easily the fastest solution on the market.
