I believe the maximum performance boost was 5% with DDR3. And that was maximum. The OCZ Blades will do fine.

I would sugest a gigabyte 790X ud4p, or the 790XT if you want DDR3, i have the DDR2 version and its brill and I have heard a lot of other people on OCN rate it well too.

It would have helped if the OP had stated what games he or she will be playing.
As for CPU AMD or Intel I still have only heard of one game that makes full use of a Quad core. Bench mark scores are for bragging not game performance, I doubt if ether of my builds would rate very high but they play the games I play very well. I would recommend a good dual core AMD 550 or Intel E8400 if OP wants to do future up grade than get DDR3 if not get DDR2 video just about any thing from ether ATi or Nvidia from the last year will play any game out now. Peace be with you.

I agree with Slickwilly, save some money by getting a fast dual core and spend more on your gpu.

My main reason for posting is I saw several recommending the Mugen 2 and I am going to go ahead and say you should get the Zalman over the Mugen 2. I just installed the Mugen 2 and although it cools amazingly it's a REAL pain to install and almost impossible to install by yourself. I'm not a pro by any means but it took me a good two hours trying to set this thing up by myself, finally i gave up and woke up my brother around 2am to help me get this thing installed ![]() Also it's big, to me the extra degree or two you might gain isn't worth the trouble and the possibility that it won't fit in your case. good luck!
