I believe AMD has stated that all the Athlons will be under 100$. But then again, its not like the Athlon X4 is going to be 130 either. They will have 65W to 45W TDP (yes, the quad) and they will not be Black Editions.

I would not go with the that power supply at all. If you can go with my build. It should last a long time and it's good for mild overclocking. There is no point on getting the green drive when you can get the black for just $15 more.

There is no onboard video, I wish we could use that combo.

Any PSU under $60 is just looking for trouble, even on an old AMD 1.8GHz single core with a 9800Pro. That system blew thro 4 crappy PSU's before I wised up and actually spent some money on the PSU, one of them also ended up taking a motherboard with it.

The owner probably don't need 1TB. Every dollar counts in cheap $600 rig. Is the PSU that bad? It as 75% proficiency and has good reviews. Corsair is a little expensive.

gotcha. I was about to say you can get this 4850 for 82.99 after rebate

I also noticed that it's just for general use. In that case, you might even be all set with a Kuma, in which case, Mobo+ CPU for 104.99 It's got onboard video, and a dual core @ 2.8ghz out of the box
