Ahh, thanks. Guess I'll be re-working that, then.

EDIT:

Updated, switched the motheboard out for a cheaper one, switched the MicroATX case out for a cheaper, ATX Mid Tower case, and added a (quite expensive >.>) Corsair 450w power supply. If anyone can make a reccomendation for a cheaper reliable PSU, please let me know.

Things to go for in a PSU ,

One or more 8-pin PCIe 2.0 power connectors(crossfire later)
you also need: one 8-pin CPU power connector.

Wattage , 550W minimum if you have a dedicated vid card. 600W minimum for high-end gaming hardware. 700W or more recommended for SLI/CrossFire systems.

Wattage isn't the only thing that's important. 450 watts will run a high end rig with 3 hard drives and a dedicated gtx 260 (my sig rig). Whats more important is the voltage on the rails. 20a on the +12v rail is recommended for a 4870. 520 watts can crossfire 2 4870s, afaik.

Yes it will run, and probably on less, but the efficiency levels will drop creating more heat, and fan noise trying to cool it.
That said , the Corsair is a very efficient PSU even at a 100 percent load it doesn't dip below 80% efficiency.

While your at it, have a look at the OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W, it has higher output capacity, dual PCIe power connectors, and modular cabling, and it's cheaper.

Wow, thanks a LOT for that find. That PSU is probably twice as good as the Corsair I have listed. Definite +Rep for that.

Threw in some updates. Switched out the PSU for the cheaper, better, more epic one. Oh, and I added two quarters to my fund. Oh, and I got my parents to chip in 300 if I saved up the rest, so that's good. That'll help me get ze cash by around Christmas.

EDIT:

AND... sorry for the double post. Didn't even notice.

For your HDD, unless you are certain you will need 500GB I would go with a smaller one, anywhere from 160-320GB and they will be cheaper.

Also, don't buy your keyboard/mouse/mousepad online. You can get them all cheaper at a local store (and not have to pay shipping).

Just my

Good luck with your build
