VCheeZ's AMD 955 Build!
So at long last, I will be posting my build log (of sorts). As some of you may know, I sold my QX9650 and x38 board to try out some AMD action for a while. Then I sold my GTX260 to try out some ATI action for a while
 Here are the Components! AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition Asus M4A79T Deluxe 4gb OCZ/2gb Corsair 1600 DDR3 (at different times) Creative Audigy with X-fi drivers LG Blu-Ray/HD-DVD OCZ GameXstream 1010w PSU 2 SATA drives 1 320gb, 1 250gb 1 ATA 250gb (don't ask...) NZXT Sentry 2 touchscreen fan speed controller Sapphire 4870 1gb Thermaltake Element G Mid-Tower Cooler Master Hyper n520 CPU coolerTuniq Tower 120 Extreme IC7 Diamond TIM OCZ XTC ram cooler

thats crazy i was just thinking about all the money i saved up from work and how i never had an AMD computer and wanted to give it a try eventually.
cant wait to see how it comes out

I'm particularly interested in how you're going to feel about the different in platforms (i.e. if you notice a performance difference). Nice parts.

I have that same board and for a first time builder i couldnt be any happier! It overclocks my chip really well. It even unlocks the 4th core on my 720. I use 1303 bios. Another thing i was looking into getting that cooler. Well its a draw between that one and the dark night as of right now and intil i get money lol. Anyways i was wondering if you could post some temps when you get it up and running please. On that note all i can say is Excellent job on build and you should be happy with AMD. I sure am

Awesome Build , love the memory cooler , i'd get it also ,but then our rigs would look too much alike
