EDIT: BTW its a cafe' weres the coffee/food?
We will be starting off with 4 42" TVs, with 3 of each console (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)

no problem, the idea is great but the bigest thing about this type of business is the location/geographic area and if people around it will come. because you want this place full so you can have a good source of income. i would think a mall could work and the best idea imo would have all the computers in another room on a server rack so people can mess with them (to an extent) and easily managed.

A) no tables... to food...
B) 4 TVs waste alot of room... you could make more, simply having the consoles available, and doing some on the fly swapping on monitors, with HDMI cables... and have more PCs available.... 14 computers, thats just enough to fill a CSS map... you must have forgotten that like 60% of LAN/gaming cafe goers... just play World of Failcraft...
C) If you want to turn a profit, branch into computer/console repair as well as system builds...

Looks pretty sharp!
If you opened up a shop in the Portland area near a school, Tanasbourne, or other high-traffic suburban areas, it would thrive!

If you think rap sucks or isn't "real music", quit being pretentious and go sample something that isn't on the radio:
De La Soul, Lupe Fiasco, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Brand Nubian, Canibus, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots, Gang Starr, Digital Underground, (old) Kanye West, Immortal Technique, etc.

Better yet, try to make a 4 minute spoken word poem read to a beat that doesn't suck or sound corny if you think hip hop has no talent.

I think you should try to give us more insentives, like try and get a liquor licence and sell beer and drinks as well as snacks and other food.

I would try and set it up like a bar with an open consept but designed so that groups can have some privacy.

When I think of gaming places like this I think of old school arcades that were simply a bunch of machines lined up in a hall that are only meant to suck up my money.

If you make it a place where people will want to stay there all day and just play games im sure you will make a killing on the booze and snacks. There should also be a place where people can sit and eat food like a lounge area or tables. A bar setting would be much better than only a big room with a bunch of computers and tv's.

This for sure. Also you might want to open a little mini shop or something for games and stuff. But take it easy in the beginning no need to waste money for something that wont be used.
